Eyelids Get Animated in "Bound to Let You Down" Video

And also beheaded.

In June, Portland pop-rock supergroup Eyelids snuck its ear-wiggiest song yet onto a four-song EP. Now, that song has been transformed into a candy-colored cartoon, courtesy of Jack Cusumano, an animator for the Adult Swim show Rick and Morty. And coming from a Cartoon Network alum, you know it's not going to be Adventures of the Little Koala. (Does that reference date me or what?)

Eyelids kicks off its national tour—which includes a slew of dates with Charlatans UK—Nov. 5 at Mississippi Studios.

Willamette Week

Matthew Singer

A native Southern Californian, former Arts & Culture Editor Matthew Singer ruined Portland by coming here in 2008. He is an advocate for the canonization of the Fishbone and Oingo Boingo discographies, believes pro-wrestling is a serious art form and roots for the Lakers. Fortunately, he left Portland for Tucson, Arizona, in 2021.

Willamette Week’s reporting has real-life impact that changes laws, forces action by civic leaders, and drives compromised politicians from public office.
