Cheap Eats 2008

A sunlit, old-timey diner with two U-shaped counters and no private tables, Fuller's is probably the best place in town to eat breakfast alone. It's not as big on veggies as its neighbors in the Pearl, and its fluffy blueberry pancakes ($6 for three) won't blow you away, but you'll probably want to hang around for a spell after you eat them. Fuller's anticipates this. Make good use of your bottomless cup of coffee after you chow down on a juicy breakfast steak ($9.50) or Georgia's Potato Deluxe (two eggs with hash browns, spinach, tomatoes and peppers, $7.95), read the paper, and pretend it's 1953.
