Cheap Eats 2009

Ever wondered what Clinton Street would taste like if it could be distilled into a sushi roll? According to the chefs at BaRa Sushi, it'd be a combination of crab meat, avocado, cilantro and mango. Those are the ingredients of its Clinton Corner Roll ($15), named after the spot it occupies in the hip southeast neighborhood. Not sure what that combination is supposed to say about the area, other than it tastes great. Too spendy? Nigiri starts at $3.25. And if there's a cozier sushi bar in Portland, it would have to be in somebody's living room.
