The much-embattled Portland Art Center is closing its doors for good, according to a blog post by Seattle Post-Intelligencer art critic Regina Hackett.
In the posting, dated Friday January 18th, 5:26 pm, Hackett says that Seattle artist Ben Hirshkoff, who was scheduled to be part of the PAC's February exhibition, was told by the PAC that the center would not be open through February, but "asked him to keep the matter 'discreet.'" according to Hackett.
Emails and calls to PAC staff members Kelly Rauer and Gavin Shettler, as well as an email to Hirshkoff, were not returned at the time of this posting.
