At this point, many of us would live at Portland International Airport if we could.
It's got everything any Portlander could want—good food, great beer, Powell's, even a movie theater. And it just keeps adding more: In 2021, Southern brunch staple Screen Door will open in the revamped Concourse B, which should make you seriously consider taking a surprise trip to see the folks just to skip the lines at the Burnside location.
More immediately, the extension of Concourse E is scheduled for completion this June, introducing yet more stuff to make you pray for a delayed departure. Here's a quick rundown of the highlights.
A. Tender Loving Empire
A second airport location of the local boutique gift shop and record label, this one with more focus on the music.
D. Bambuza Vietnamese Kitchen
An eclectic new retail gift shop spun off from McKenzie Shoes and Apparel.
A new bar from the group behind Century and the Bye and Bye with a "women in aviation" theme.
